Guess it must be a Monday. I'm retared- it's raining pretty good out, and I went to check on the critters this morning, and here's a new calf lying out in the rain- newborn. What is it about a cow that they wait until lousy weather to calve??? He's in the barn now and getting dry and warm. It's the first calf this year, and the first from this bull. After all of the navel trouble we had last year, it (hopefully) is now behind us. This was this bulls' first calf- nice looking - and feisty- little bull calf.
