I have a mule, and have had it for about five years now. Darn thing goes anywhere, and does more than it was designed to do, with little maintenance. Follow the book for maintenance- there are a few things you do have to do occasionally. But we use it for fencing, seeding, spraying and general transport all over the farm, and it's only been a few times we have stuck it anywhere, although I do have to admit it doesn't like deeper snow. It has hauled deer out of the woods, gone through streams and manure with equal adaptability. It is a bit underpowered, but, then again, it is just a single cylinder motor, but it is gutsy and economical for what we use it for.
