I have a Kubota f-2000 (very similar). FWD is a must if you are going to put a snow thrower on it. It comes in handy at times if you are mowing hilly ground. Mine has a mechanical pto and if you need a bungy to hold it in, sounds like that does too. As long as it doesn"t have a boat load of hours, it wouldn"t scare me. I wouldn"t trade mine for an XMark or Scags under any circumstances. Mine is a 1988 and has 1800hrs on it. I've had it for 8 years and paid $6,800 with a 60" mower, 48" snow blower and heated cab. It had 700hrs on it when I bought it.
