Call me old fashioned if you like, but that's the way I grew up, measuring distance in miles. Give me the distance in miles, and I can figure how long it will take me to get there. When my son moved to another city, I asked him how far it was. "Oh, about three and a half hours." I can hit the interstate a mile from my house and under normal conditions, drive the distance at 65mph except for the last ten miles. I don't care how many hours, just tell me how many MILES IT IS!!!
