I have a 2wd Ford 1900 with a front-end loader. Among other uses, I pull a small manure spreader. My tractor has standard tires all around and the front tires cut a nice swath in the front yard no matter how carefully or wide I turn when spreading manure there. The wife doesn't appreciate that artwork, so I am considering getting turf tires for the front end only.
Before I do this, I thought I'd ask to see if I might be shooting myself in the foot in any regard to the utility of the tractor. I bush hog a couple of pastures and generally use the loader for all sorts of mischief around the place. Anyone see a trade-off in utility if I swap out only the front tires?
