Well, we went to this guys place today, it wasn't nearly as elaborate as my buddy had described it to be.... He turned out to be a really nice guy, and parts of his family had already come through and put their name on what they wanted, so we just kind of got the scraps.
There were a few nice things, but for the most part, everything was pretty well beat up.... Here is a list of what we bought, and what we paid for them (estimated weight x scrap):
BushHog Back Blade, 5 foot + snow extensions, $22.50 Old style, pull with a trailer bale loader, $45.00 8 foot Johnson drop spreader, rough, $30.00 Ford 501, in almost field ready condtiton (blue) $22.50 IH T6 Crawler + Blade, runs really nice, great shape, $750.00 2x IH 46 Balers, one pto, on engine, both nice, $225.00 a piece IH Power unit, just an old engine, about 30 horse, $22.50 IH Swather, rubber on steel, NICE, $375.00 2x Hay elevators (for barns, etc.) $45.00 Oliver hay rake on rubber, NICE, $45.00 JD 4-bottom plow, on steel, SUPER NICE, $90.00 4x 4foot spring tooth sections, $45.00 Self Propelled NH Bale wagon, three wide, O K, $1500 (set price, not scrap) Three point, 2 bottom case plow, $75.00 6 foot tow behind case seed drill, working, $97.50 Bob Cat mounted Back Hoe, $150.00 Case VAC, Wide front (destroyed), not running, $262.50
All in all not too bad huh? I paid myself off for the Bush Hog blade, looked to be in really nice shape... I really wanted the seeder, but I now have borrowing rights. :) I might buy both of the balers from my buddy, and the put both together to get a good one, sell it, and then part the other! I'll get a few pictures of the blade for you guys when I get it home! Bryce

Today's Featured Article - Sunday Drives - by Cowboy. Summer was finally upon us here in Northern Maine. We have two types of industry up here, one being "Forestry" (Wood Products) and the other "Farming" (Potatoes). There is no shortage of farm tractors and equipment around here! I have been restoring old Farm Tractors for the past 6 years, and have found it easier and less expensive to hit all the auctions and purchase whole tractors for parts needed. My wife who works at a local school, and only has weekends and summers off, while on t
