The 1st Amendment is about POLITICAL SPEECH, not your right to say something obscene in a supermarket. The protections afforded by the 1st Amendment (the free speech parts that is) were to keep gov't from stifling it's adversaries. Of course that didn't stop guys like Woodrow Wilson from imprisoning 80K Americans during WW1 for daring to speak out against the war and Wilsons policies.
A pity things like that aren't taught in our schools...

Today's Featured Article - Product Review: Black Tire Paint - by Staff. I have been fortunate in that two of my tractors have had rear tires that were in great shape when I bought the tractor.
