I get what your saying about the plate. I could buy the pistons made for stroker crank that have different wrist pin location or have mine offset drilled to bring it down to my deck height, my goal was to use my pistons that would be 1/4" tall and then mark piston for chamber in head and mill everything but what would fit in the head off the piston to my deck height. Then that would eliminate most of the dead space in the valve chamber of the head.
