I look at the ford N series tractors are flat heads, about 20 hp. No live hydraulics and no live pto. So I remember, if you want to use 3 pt, you have to put it in neutral, turn on the pto to make the 3 pt work. Or when driving, the pto must be on before the 3 pt will work. Also the pto is connected to the rear wheels. So using a brush hog, you need a special gismo to remove the pto or a rotating brush hog will keep you moving.
