The numbers used in 65 start at 580,001 and go thru 731,999. This data is from a "Shop Tips" pamphlet from Ford dated Oct 1969. Your Id tag should be on the drivers door. If it is the original, then that is the real number. It should be stamped in the frame in 2 places if there is doubt. George
