My wife is doing great with her rehab. My hat is off to the great people at the Mayo clinic. They not only have treated her health issues but have also helped her greatly in her out look on life.

I went up Friday to pick her up. She will be staying home until Wednesday of next week. She has to be back for more rehab. Maybe another 3-4 weeks and they hope she will be able to finish at home.

She can walk around with a walker for some support. She can set up in a chair and car now. When they started she could not stand at all and could only set in chair for a short time. She was in constant pain. Now she has little pain just is weak and off balance. She is getting stronger all of the time. Her younger age is helping her out.

While she was at Mayo I had tried to finish my tax paperwork. I found out real quick I do NOT know how to use the Quick books as well as I thought I did. LMAO I really messed up trying to do the year end reports I needed for taxes.

It took her about five minutes to get the correct year end report I needed. I worked one whole weekend and could not get it right. LOL

She is having a fun time making fun of my computer skills at the moment. Fine by me it is great to hear her laugh again. Even if it is at me.

I even went and picked up my Father from the assisted living center. He has been raising cane about not seeing her. He was pretty good for most of the visit. He did start on her about getting better so he could come back home and she could help care of him. I shut him down real fast on that. Her "helping" him is what got this whole thing started. No way, no how is that going to happen again.

He is not of a full sound mind after his strokes. He will more than likely never live at home again. He sure will not be doing it with my wife as his caretaker. He should try to get one of my two lazy sisters to take care of him. Heck will freeze over before they help out any.

Did have a house full of kids and Grand Kids most of the day. Some of the women folk are taking her back Wednesday along with a shopping trip in Rochester. I know that the two DIL are going and 2-3 of the grand daughters. I am glad to NOT be included on that trip. LOL Your right I am a chicken. Shopping with that many women would be not be my idea of fun. There are too many of those questions where there is no good answer: "Honey does this dress make me look thinner/younger/prettier" there is no "correct" answer. Plus I usually get to be pack mule on top of it.

Today's Featured Article - The Day Mom Drove the 8N - by Brian Browning. My Dad was wanting to put in a garden but couldn't operate the 8N and handle the old horse drawn plow he had found and rigged up to use with the tractor. Well, he decided to go get Mom out of the house and have her drive the tractor while he walked behind the plow. You got to understand that while my Mom is a hard worker who will always help whenever she can... she had never operated farm machinery before that day. Dad got her out there, explained how the clutch was the same as in our o ... [Read Article]
