First date was in a VW beetle. I've never been one for fast cars, just quirky ones. I dated a redhead for a couple of years and drove a red VW bus. She called it Fester as it looked like a festering sore you might find on your rear end. That thing would cruise all day long at 65 but it took a mile just to get it up to 50. There was room for LOTS of friends and a cooler - that was what was important.
Come to think of it, I did have some nice dates at the drive-in in the back of a pickup. Throw as many old pillows and blankets in the back as you can find and get ready for the show. Ha!
