I am sorry you feel that my hobbies of reenacting and tractor restoring are such a waste of time. That said, I agree that reenacting does not enable one to experience the struggles, hardship, sacrifice and joy that anyone endures during war. Nor can restoration bring anything back to it's fullest as it was when first produced.
I respect everyone's opinions, but I must say that history that is not preserved or relived through museums, collections, reenactments etc, will be lost to time and in some cases, such as war, doomed to repeat itself.
