As stated earlier water pumps were factory installed starting at ser# 700200 ('52).
Looking at the footnotes in the parts catalog p/n AA5646R, a complete pump and tank bottom, was available at some point for retrofitting on ser# 584000(1st late-styled)thru 700199.
P/N AA4895R was an 18 gal conversion set for ser# 584000-655571.
Based on water pump and 18 gal tank your A could possibly be a late '47 to a '52. Most likely though it's a '52.
