I used to live at Grafton Ill, right on the Mississippi flyway, A neighbor, and close friend of mine Dick Ready, had a Labrador retriever, a Nilo Farms dog, and Midge didn't like to get her feet wet. Dick had a blind on Diamond Island, up by Hardin, and we had to use a boat to get over there with, Midge would walk around any pools, or puddles, on the way to the boat, jump in the boat, and sit on one of the seats, to stay out of any water in the bottom of the boat, When at the blind, and when a duck was shot down, Midge was in her glory, she didn't hesitate to jump in and go get the duck, she just didn't see getting wet for nothing, It was very amusing to me.
