I went with the lower heel, no loggers. The local Red Wing store happened to have a pair of size 15 loggers in stock. I wore them around the store for at least an hour.
Before I put them on I noticed they were heavy, real heavy! I ended up a 9 inch, 800gram insulated, waterproof boot. They should work good in the early spring/late fall in the mud.
I spent a good while surfing the web last night and found a lot of the boot options quit at size 14. Made decisions easier, less choices.
