Our electric rate is 11.5 cents with all the tax. But the electric heat rate is 7 cents after you go over 1600 K. We just have a air to air heat pump with LP backup. Some winters just need 1 to 2 weeks of LP at night. Will keep up if the sun is out. This winter seems like have run it for 4 weeks already. Tank is down to 65% so have used 100 gal. 500 gal tank. Electric bill hardly ever goes over 200 dollars. 1350 sq ft. Yes electricity is cheaper a heat pump runs for 1/3 of resistance elec heat. We also have a heat pump water heater. If you don't have one are paying for it anyway. Same with freezers and refrigators. Just bought Led bulbs for the night lights. A 60 watt is 10 dollars at Wally world. Pulls the same juice as 11 watt.
