I post actual temps recorded by our inside/outside thermometer. However, I know it is greatly affected by sunshine and can be off by 20 degrees if the sun is shining directly on it. My most accurate thermometer is on the outside of the barn(no heat in there or sunshine either) and it's an old fashioned mercury type, not digital or bi-metal. Yes I know it doesn't actually have mercury in it. My computer says it's 10 right now, and that's cold enough to need your shoes on when you walk out to the road to get the mail.
