: I recently aquired a Massey 333. It is free but missing the engine governor, dist, starter and Hyd pump. I need info on Horse Power rating, and there is a lever on the left front top of the trans. What does it do? Is it a hi/lo gear? Like a Farmall T/A? I may want to make a pulling tractor out of it! The 333's were built in '56 and '57. They are a 3 bottom tractor with real good pulling power. It is a 208 cu. inch continental motor. Around 40 h.p. The lever on the trans is a hi/lo. However you must be at a full stop to shift between ranges, unlike the Farmall TA which of course is designed to be used while in motion. The missing pieces are the same for all the Continental motors that use that block. 33, 44, 333, 444. Does that help? Daniel Edwards
