Did you get the tractor completely thawed out?....Answer to your initial question is....Yes, you can remove the pump through the top after first removing the lift cover. Remember to take off the dipstick plate and remove the small roller on the control forks first....Also remove the transfer plate on the front right of the cover. But before you do all that drain the oil down to the bottom bolt hole on the dipstick inspection plate and run the tractor....try lifting a load and look in and up towards the lift ram cylinder...see if you have any leaks.also check the 'O' rings on the stackpipe below the transfer plate. If there are no visible leaks it looks like you need to remover the lift cover. Sam
