Jay could relate we were just crazy enough to go winter hiking and camping in the Adirondacks sleep in tent in sleeping bag with all your clothes on. One time my stepsons water bottle froze and it was in his clothes in the sleeping bag, -36 They ended up hiking out in the middle of the night to get warm and to stay alive. When started driving his truck was frozen, he had the radiator replaced and mechanic used straight antifreeze not diluted. Luckily 3 AM back road in mts someone came along and gave them a ride. Many thanks to that person.
