I do a lot of wallpaper removal when I remodel. I use a 6" taping knife and get under the paper and pull the outer layer off. It will leave the soft paper layer under neath. Then I use a pump type garden sprayer and keep wetting it. Then you can pull the bottom layer off the wall. Keep it wet and use the taping knift to remove most of the glue. Then use a sponge and or green 3M scrubber pad to remove any glue residue. I have tried every technique under the sun for removing wallpaper. Nothing works better than plain water and what I just told you.
