When I was in high school, I met a California girl at my buddy's New Years party. They were related somehow. Platinum blonde, good looking, shapely, etc. Every guy in the place was hitting on her. I just sat in my corner and sipped beer. Finally worked up the courage to talk to her. We ended up going on a date and wrote for several months. Went to surprise her when we went to California to see my uncle. Took a bus from Northern Ca. to Fontana where she lived. I had no idea if they'd even be home. I got surprised. She had a job and boyfriend. But they put me up for the weekend and her mom took her brother and I to Newport Beach. Spent the whole day there. Got caught in a rip current and got burned. Wonder what ever happened to her?
