Control lever broke or came detached or something in the linkage came apart. Could be as simple as a bolt falling out. Had the steering lever break on one machine and the lever right on the hydro output shaft break on an older machine. Welding the steering lever was pretty easy as I could take it off. Welding the lever attached to the shaft coming out of the hydro was tricky. Had to weld it in place without getting it too hot to melt seals. Almost impossible to take off the shaft as it had a bolt clamping it on the shaft as well as roll pin through the middle of the shaft.
