My oldest boy always thought I was wasting my time cutting trees on some of our land. One day we were doing it and he said, "When we get these cut we'll be able to run the bush hog through here and won't have to chainsaw everything." I turned and looked at him like he had 3 heads and said, "Duh! What did you think I was busting my back for?" He suddenly got the idea, even if I wasn't Mr. Nice Guy about it. In my defense, he was no more friendly than I was.
