Shadetree, I agree that "55-"65 were the best of times as far as economy and relatively peaceful ( irrespective of the "duck & cover" mentality of nuclear threat). I was lucky enough to fulfill my military service obligation during that time. I think those who was nostalgic of the "good old days" do so from memories they have of their youth when they had few worries and obligations.
