When I was younger ,I'd see guy's with nice cow herds sell out when they start pushing 60.Never could figure that out. Now I'm pushing 60& I understand.Calving in a blizzard is for the younger ones. Something I'm looking into is calving in May & June.Way less work, less feed bill and 6 weight calves ready for for grass in April are very valuable. Sounds like a retirement plan I could live with for another decade or more.
