Always been a farmer, never got paid by the hour in my life.
One time a good friend of mine was complaining, he only got a 10 cent raise.
Same week, my girlfriend (now wife) was complaining she only got a 4 cent raise.
This was a bad year in farming, and I was surrounded by folks getting positive incomes and they were complaining...
I think I asked both of them for years if they had any more bad news when I saw them,.,.,
I realize those were tiny raises, but it was back a ways when there was lots of bad ecconomic news, not getting a pink slip was a good day back then.....
