That"s interesting Jim. I"ve had a air in the line lots of times while I was having that major problem with my well pump manufacturer I posted about, never saw a drop of water that missed that huge bowl.
Even if water did miss my bowl, it would never hit the zipper area, bowl"s too high for that. Probably your counter is 30" or so? That will compound your discomfort. I stopped that nonsense 30 years ago when everything I made was at least 36" high, kitchen counter standard.
