I'm one of those who can get lost in a cardboard box when I get away from my familiar surroundings so GPS has been a godsend for me. When I'm taking off for some city I don't know much about I look the address up on MapQuest at home first or I type the address in on Google Earth or both.
the Garmin in the car is good most times but it takes you on the shortest route, not the best route. Garmin is real accurate on giving a time of arrival. I really like that feature. Jim
