I'm a ham radio op, and the local Postmistress (is that a word?) said she really enjoyed reading all of my QSL cards (as she apologized for doing it). Heck, I didn't care if she read them. One night a guy in New York City wanted a card from me. He had an addy a foot long, so I told him to send his card to me with my call and zip code on the front, and I'd send him a card in return. He swore it wouldn't work, but about three days later his card showed up, addressed like I instructed. I knew old Helen would get it to me if it ever got to her, ha. This was 15 years ago, but not 50-75.
