just got back from trip picking up a plow with goose-neck trailer. problem is when climing a grade or hill, my truck shifts down, causing the turbo to over boost (30 psi) for 3-5 seconds, it thows it into limp-mode when the wrench light comes on. check engine light scan shows turbo over boost. normally my truck is running 1950 rpms at 70 mph. when it shifts down it goes to 2500 rpms. I have learned to bypass the problem by taking it off cruise within the 3-5 seconds and keeping the truck at speed and keeping the turbo-boost at 28 or under. seems to have the power to go up the hills. if I miss catching the over-boost and the wrengh light comes, I have to pull off the highway shut the truck off and restart it to cancel limp-mode. very frustrating! anyone had this problem or have a solution, would be appreciated.
