What he^^^ says is correct. What others say about waste gate is incorrect in light of the fact PowerStrokes don't have a waste gate. It's simple to check with right equipment. There are a few things you can do once it's corrected. #1. Vent crank case to atsmopher or through a filter before it goes into intake air. #2. Have dealer reflash pcm to latest stratigy which includes a periododic "vane exercise" at idle. #3. If you don't tow over an extended period of time and/or operate at low rpms for a couple of weeks,stand on the go pedal now and then while looking for black smoke out the exhust. #4. Illigal in all states but only certain states look for it. Delete the egr cooler.
Better get it fixed asap because overboost is one of the main reasons for blown head gaskets.
