I'm sorry to hear about your nephew's problem. I wanted to tell you about our little neighbor girl. She also developed diabetes about that age. It required a lifestyle change for the whole family. I watched that little gal stick herself like a trooper when she was in first grade. Made my blood run cold - I can barely give a cow a shot. Today she's a beautiful young gal in her early 20s. Still has diabetes, but she has adapted well to it. I hope things turn out at least as well for your family.
