JD Have seen folks try spreading lime with limited success. I would think you would have to remove that little agiator and be right where you want to spread when you start. If you move much the shaking will settle or pack that sand. I really doubt that it will work with much success but if the sand was real dry and you only filled about half full or less you might get by. Just my thinking or experience. I have one that I do ever now and then run a little fertilize on the yard but not easy.
