Is it true if you take copper from an air conditioner to the recyclers, you need to prove you are in the HVAC business?
If you try recycle a catalytic converter, you need to prove you are in the business or you must prove you bought a new converter?
I know a few years ago, the recyclers made a photo copy of driver's license and gave me a card with a number on it. This was to cut down on stolen items going to the recyclers and pawn shops.
So, have they expanded the requirements to include popular stolen items that end up at the recyclers?
