Polarize as folows: Woth the tractor shut OFF! but all things connected, use a piece of 10 gauge wire (stranded os OK, solid is best). Strip the ends about 1/4inch, and jump from the Bat terminal on the regulator to the Arm terminal on the regulator. This bypasses the Regulator and gives the Field iron poles a magnetic charge. (polarized) If this does not work. Jim
