Son has one, as a result of improper growth of the heart tissue when he was young, and CHF. His has never triggered in the three years he"s had it. He works in computer industry - has welded and run chainsaws. His has a unit on the dresser in his bedroom that connects to the phone lines. Apparently downloads data from time to time, and then forwards the data to the hospital. Was a brand new unit on the market when he got it. But he"s had no problems, think you will find the same thing. And if you do need it, you"ll be glad you had it.
