I almost agree....I get 10-12 mpg empty without a trailer or loaded pulling 17,000 lbs. But in my situation I would rather pay for the gas cost than fiddle with diesel fluid Tier emissions stuff as well as other things that come with a diesel. If I did a bunch of hauling like I used to it may not pencil out but I think right now I am on the winning end - in my use case scenario anyway.
