You have a very simple problem and is going to get worse unless you replace the cap since that is a sure sign of a cracked cap. You can not see those crack by the way but I bet it you grab that cap when it is running it will let you know there are cracks there since you will jump 10 feet if I am right. So replace it and be done with it
