The 40" wheel was on F-14 to increase ground speed from the F-12,wich had 36" rubber.Some guys would put Farmall H wheels on an F12 to get 'cheap' rubber to the steel wheel tractor.There have been all kinds of 'tricks' to get 'cheap' rubber.40" rubber is very rare these days,as far as I know,no one has that size for many,many years.Servisable"used" tires do not exist.There was however,Several years ago some outfit in California was selling used takeoff tires from vegatable tractors.My feeling is you will look long and hard (unsuccessfully)for a used tire.May just have to bite the bullet and buy a new one.
