Your truck won't have a harness to wire it so you have to do it yourself. As said you need a hot wire from the battery which you already have from your other controller. The blue wire hooks the same. You will need to tap into the brake lite wire to activate the controller but it seems you already know where that is. Some have another wire for power for lighting that would just be hooked to a hot wire that turns on and off with the switch. When you get a new controller they are labeled on each wire what it is so it should be no problem to wire it. As to your other post if you are not getting braking with power applied directly to the magnets as I suggested then your problem will not be in the controller.
