I replaced the tubes in a 720 JD 16.9x34 (had fluid in them) did not want fluid, removed the tires, cleaned and painted rims (inside) smooth, waited 2 weeks put new tubes in, next day 1 tire flat, thought must have pinched when putting in, removed it at least 10 pinholes, got it replaced, put back in 2 weeks later flat again (grrrrrr) removed and valve stem had torn loose from the tube, dug out an old tube rehabbed the valvestem and installed, 2 years later no problems
