I know people that just are terrified of snakes, me, I find them part of nature, and or they don't bother me in the least. I have seen a lot of garter or ribbon snakes this year, have not looked long enough to see which ones they were, they do look alike,just a different pattern, similar colors. I like the corn or milk snake, they are rodent predators, also quite docile, I always see them in the spring time. These kinds of snakes I could never understand the fear of them.
Venomous snakes, well if in the wild, just leave em be, but if around ones home, barns, outbuildings or what have you, best to be rid of them, given the potential harm.
