My previous post had the wrong subject - sorry.
I'm a pretty competent mechanic, but I'm a bit apprehensive about pulling the transmission off my family's 1942 L. It's been in the family since it was new, but a few years ago it started to make a lot of noise sitting in neutral and running. Even was loud when in gear and driving, so I thought it must be a worn bearing in the transmission.
Any advice about pulling an L transmission would be great.
