Well I would check the battery voltage before I switched any batteries. Your slow starting could easily be a bad starter. You maybe lucky and it is just the starter solenoid that is just making bad contact.
So see what the voltage at the batteries is when setting and then when trying to crank. If the voltage is 12 volts before and bring trying to crank the batteries are not the problem. Then check to see what the voltage is at the starter before and during cranking. If you still have no drop or crank then check to see if your getting power to the wiring going to the starter solenoid when the key is in the crank position. IF you have voltage at the crank terminal then the trouble is in the starter.
Just blindly switching things around is just chasing your tail. CHECK the voltage and figure out what is not working before switching anything.
