There is 3 parts to a defrost system.. The timer the heating element and the thermo disk it"s a time on time off. The timer puts power to the element the thermo disk turns off the heating element when the temp hit the themo disk set point. Than the timer times out and turn the ref. back on. Another thing check the door gasket make sure they are sealing good The timer they hide the all over the box. The thema disk is on the inside coil. Evaporator coil. Heating coil is on that coil to
