My second son, "Sparky", was always interested in electronics and graduated from Rutgers University with a degree in electrical engineering (highest honors) and was offered their Ph.D progrom but he would have to stay on as a prof. He has never lacked for an excellent job and has, for some years, operated a very good business. Mostly in the computer field. Let the boy follow his passion. Sometimes it pays off handsomely. Both personally as well as financially. We used to kid Sparky about not being able to spell his own name but he got straight As in every math or science course he took.
