On July 17th 2012 I fell asleep while driving home from work one evening about 5:15pm. 2007 GMC Texas Edition 1/2 ton w/ approx 106K miles. I almost perfect condition, I was planing on driving it another 5 yrs. I had cruise control set at posted speed limit of 65 mph, went off road on right side into a pretty steep ditch and hit a culvert that thankfully had the pipes across it. Truck launched into the air, flew all the way over county road and clear corner posts of cattle pasture, I figure I flew at least 70 feet, came down on the side and rolled 4-6 times the TDPS Trooper said. Totaled truck, I had a few small scratches on he top of my head and a real bad seat belt bruise across my left shoulder. The VFD had to cut the roof off to get me out, at that time I had had 3 surgeries on my neck and 3 on my lower back. After x-raying my neck the Dr. gace me a small Rx for pain pills and told me to go home. I walked out of the Emergency room. I believe in wearing seat belts!!!
