DSL here. It occasionally comes and goes, but I'm at the limit as far as line length is concerned. My son works for the phone company, and he lives a half mile away, so our line is kept pretty clean.
He tells me the satellite is nice - he installs them for the phone company - but the gamers don't like them for the lag time mentioned below, and you can somehow exceed your download package and bump yourself into a higher price. When he talks to me about price, he knows he's talking to a skinflint. I know nothing of the details, and am barely able to describe it, but thought I'd mention it so you would be aware and check before buying.
